NEGOTIATED PURCHASES SUMMARIES BELOW

DTN COMMENT:  Formula totals for last week were mixed, higher in Texas, 
but lower in Kansas and Nebraska: KS 70,826(-6,257), NE 48,363(-4,453), TX 
94,203(+6,485). Total trade volume was also mixed higher in Texas, but 
lower in Kansas and Nebraska:  KS 85,719(-3,182), NE 76,646(-1,741), TX 
99,203 (+7,245). New showlists appear to be mixed, higher in Kansas, 
somewhat lower in Nebraska, and lower in Texas. Bids and asking prices 
have yet to be established this week, and significant trade volume will 
likely be delayed until the second half of the week. 

Beef cutouts are higher at midday (Choice 314.25 +0.80, Select 301.35 
x3.95), with light box movement (27.47 lds of choice cuts, 9.64 lds of 
select cuts, 0.00 lds of trim, and 10.85 lds of ground). Cattle futures at 
the top of the noon hour are mixed, mostly higher on live contracts, but 
mostly lower on feeder issues.
